Artist of the Month
Each month during the school year at Madison Station Elementary, different artists will be showcased. The goal is to provide students with a variety of artwork to enjoy during the year and to help the PTO support our children's art program. Featured artists donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their art to the Madison Station art program.

Artist of the Month:
Carolyn Lohman
My name is Carolyn Lohman, and I am a pediatric nurse practitioner by profession and an artist by trade. I grew up in a vibrant, coastal town in Alabama where art seemed to be embedded in the foundation with creativity at every corner. This was an ideal atmosphere for me and is why I gravitate towards bright and bold colors, use quick and loose paint strokes, and try and incorporate playful texture to my art. When I am not painting, I enjoy running and being outside with my husband, two children, and our dog Hank. While art is not my career, it is my favorite hobby and one that allows me to use all the parts of my brain that typically I don’t use as a nurse practitioner. I hope my art inspires creativity in those who see it!
